  • Tasks/Skills: Create and introduce social media marketing to the Woodhaven BID.  Create different ad campaigns for various events and promoting the area as well as the new website.

In addition to their website, I was tasked to create and introduce social media marketing to the Woodhaven BID.  What was good about it was without any previous content, I was able to start on a clean slate.

Accounts were created on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the handle @woodhavenbid.

Social media content initially focused on promoting events.  Previously, events were promoted the old fashion way; with flyers posted on light posts or invites being directly mailed.  With social media we focused on targeted ads that focused on residents who lived in Woodhaven and the surrounding areas.  With targeted ads we reached as many as 4K views to 25K views.

Once the website was more established, we focused content on promoting new businesses on the avenue as well as focusing on the business owners and their stories.
